Take parcels that missed their collection back out of the cage onto Held Parcels, and record a Carrier No-Show when the carrier doesn't come.

In short

After a Close-Out, take each Missed Collection's parcels out of the cage onto Held Parcels. They go on the next collection. If the carrier doesn't come, a Floor Supervisor selects Carrier didn't come instead.

Before you start

You need to be a Warehouse Operative, a Floor Supervisor, a Warehouse Manager or an Admin to take parcels out. Recording a Carrier No-Show is for a Floor Supervisor or above.

Neither cancels a label. The parcels keep their labels for the next collection.

Steps

Take out the parcels that missed

An order is a Missed Collection when it wasn't fully loaded, or was held, at the Close-Out.

  1. Go to Load and close out and choose the collection you closed out. Missed Collections lists each order, Why it missed and when it Goes on.

  2. Under Take back out of the cage, find the parcels listed. Select Take parcels out.

  3. Scan each listed parcel as you take it out of the cage:

  4. Put it on the Held Parcels shelf with its label. Stockist names the collection it goes in, such as Royal Mail 17:30 on Thursday.

When that collection's cage is out, load the parcels from Held Parcels into it as usual: see Load the cage.

Record a Carrier No-Show

Use this when the carrier isn't coming for a collection today.

  1. Floor Supervisor or above: go to Load and close out and choose the collection.

  2. Select Carrier didn't come.

  3. Type Why isn't the carrier coming?, such as "Royal Mail rang, no driver today".

  4. Select Record the no-show:

    Carrier No-Show recorded

  5. Leave the loaded parcels in the cage. They go out at the next collection's Close-Out.

A no-show can only be recorded on the collection's own day. See Carrier No-Show.

What happens next

Nothing ships at a no-show, and the collection then shows as closed out. Every Shipment for it waits for the next collection.

The orders keep their Must-Ship-By. An order shipped at a later collection than promised isn't On Time, and its Order Timeline says it is late.
