Find out why Stockist refuses to put stock or a container into a location or container, and what to do about each reason.
In short
Stockist refuses when the location or container is too small, too full or too heavy. It also refuses hazardous goods where they aren't safe, and a second product or client where only one is allowed. The message names every reason, and nothing has moved.
What you see
It is too big or too full
One unit, or the container's outer size, is bigger than the location or Container Type in every way round. Or there isn't room left for all of it beside what is already there.
A UK pallet won't go into a pick face, for example. Choose a bigger location, or unpack the stock and put it away loose. If the location's size in Stockist is wrong, ask a Warehouse Manager to correct it.
It is too heavy
The total would go over the location's maximum weight, or the Container Type's Max Payload. A container counts at its tare weight plus everything in it.
Choose another location or container, or split the load. If going over is safe, a Floor Supervisor or above can turn on Override the weight limit and try again. A Weight Override lifts the weight check only.
It is hazardous goods
Hazardous goods go only into hazard compliant locations, and only into containers of a hazard compliant Container Type. A container holding hazardous goods moves only to a hazard compliant location.
Kestrel Audio's power banks are hazardous, so their pallet stays in the hazardous goods cage. Nobody can override this check.
The location or container keeps to one product or client
Its Mixing Policy allows one product, one client or both, and this would bring a second. A location's policy covers the stock in every container in it too.
Choose a location or container that already holds the same product, or an empty one. If the policy is wrong, ask a Warehouse Manager to change the location or the Container Type.
The location isn't taking stock
The location is under maintenance, inactive, set not to take stock, or waiting for a count after a short pick. Choose another location. If it should be in use, tell a Floor Supervisor or a Warehouse Manager.
The container is closed
A container closed at the dock takes no more stock. Pack into an open container instead. Once a closed container is empty, deactivate and reactivate it to open it again.
