Barcode Prefix

Also called: container prefix, barcode stem.

The letters and digits at the start of a Container Type's barcodes, always in capitals and used by one Container Type only, so a scanned barcode tells Stockist the type. It can't be INB, ORD, PCK or SHP, which start Transaction Numbers.

In a Container Type's Barcode Rule section, and at the start of every container barcode, such as PAL in PAL-000037.
