Set up your totes, pack bench and boxes

Decide first

• The totes' Barcode Prefix. Choose short capitals, such as TOT. Their Container Type must be a Pick Container and allow mixed products and clients.
• Where packing happens. Put the pack bench and the Red Tag and Held Parcels shelves in your dispatch zone, near the carrier's cage.

Checklist

1. Set up a Container Type for your totes with Set up a Container Type and its barcode prefix, such as Tote with prefix TOT. Turn on Pick Container and choose Multiple Clients Permitted.
2. Bring a tote into service for each one on your carts with Create containers and print their labels, and stick on their labels.
3. Add a location for each pack bench with Add or change a location, such as PACK-01, choosing Pack Station. The bench's Pack Station is set up on it in step 7.
4. Add a Red Tag Location, such as RT-01, choosing Red Tag, and a Held Parcels location, such as HELD-01, choosing Held Parcels.
5. Print each new location's label with Print labels for chosen locations.
6. Add each box and mailer you pack with, and its barcode, with Add a box or mailer, such as Box, small with PKG-BOX-S. Print the barcodes on a packaging sheet for the bench.
7. Set up a Pack Station on each bench's location, such as Bench 1 on PACK-01, with Set up a station. If you check orders, set up a QA Station too.
8. On each bench's screen, select Link this screen and choose its station, with Link a screen to its station.

What happens next

You're done when TOT shows in Stock Containers › Container Types, and your boxes show in Warehouses › Packaging Items. Each bench's screen then opens on its Pack Station.
