Bring a client live, or allow early receipt
- How-to
- Clients
- Who can do this: Admin, Account Manager
- Checked on 27 October 2026
Work through a client's go-live checklist on Client 360 and select Go live, or let a first delivery in before go-live.
In short
Open the client in Clients and tick off its Go-live checklist: company details, contacts, agreed rules, a first Client Account Administrator, products, Dispatch Warehouse and Default Service Level. Then select Go live. To take a delivery in first, select Allow early receipt.
Before you start
You need to be an Account Manager or an Admin. If you don't see Go live, ask the client's Account Manager.
The client must be in Onboarding. Your team needs at least one Service Level with a Carrier Service at the warehouse the client's orders will go to.
Steps
Work through the go-live checklist
The checklist is on the left of the client's Client 360. Items Stockist can see tick themselves, and the next one to do is marked Next.
- Go to Clients and select the client, such as Lumen & Loom Homeware Ltd.
- Company details complete: select Edit Client and record the contract reference, company registration number, VAT number and invoice address. See Complete its company details.
- Primary and Operations contacts recorded: under Contacts, select Assign under Operations and pick or record a contact. See Keep the client's contacts.
- Operating rules agreed with the client: select Confirm rules. Confirm each rule as Follows the standard or Client Override, enter How the client agreed, and select Submit.
- First Client Account Administrator invited: under People, select Invite person and invite the client's lead as a Client Account Administrator.
- Products loaded, or client will load them: add the client's first product, or select Client will load, enter a Note and select Submit.
- Dispatch Warehouse chosen and Default Service Level with a Carrier Service: under Dispatch settings, select Change dispatch settings, choose both, and select Submit.
If a rule needs a Client Override, change it first with Schedule a change: see Set a client's operating rules. Confirm rules only records the rules as they stand.
Go live
- Check the checklist says 7 of 7 done. Go live stays locked, listing what is still to do, until it does.
- Select Go live. Stockist asks "Take Lumen & Loom Homeware Ltd live?".
- Select Confirm. Stockist shows "The account is live", and the status changes to Active.
Go live also stays locked if the client has no Primary contact.
Allow early receipt
Early receipt lets deliveries be booked in and received while the client is still Onboarding, to test receiving. Nothing is dispatched before go-live.
- In the client's Client 360, select Allow early receipt.
- Enter a Reason, such as "First roast delivery to test receiving before go-live", and select Submit. Book in deliveries and Accept arrivals at the dock change to yes.
- To stop it again, select Withdraw early receipt, enter a Reason and select Submit.
Brew Republic's first roast was let in early this way, so its pick faces were set up before it went live.
What happens next
The client is Active from today, which becomes its go-live date. Early receipt ends, and deliveries, orders and dispatch run normally. Its people read "Your account is now live." in their history.
Once live, the checklist is replaced by Account health, which warns about an unfilled contact purpose, a scheduled rule change or a contract about to end. A live client can't drop its Dispatch Warehouse or Default Service Level.
