Mark damaged units on the Rapid Scanner by scanning each one or typing how many, so they can't be picked, and undo it if you got it wrong.
In short
On the Rapid Scanner, scan the product, choose where it is, and select Mark damaged. Scan each damaged unit, or type how many, then select Mark damaged to finish.
Before you start
You need to be a Warehouse Operative, a Floor Supervisor, a Warehouse Manager or an Admin. If you don't see Mark damaged on a product's card, ask a Warehouse Manager.
Damaged stock stays where it is, with the Inventory Status Damaged, so orders don't reserve it. To change a status for any other reason, use Change Status at a desk: see Change a status or release stock from quarantine.
Steps
- Open the Rapid Scanner from the top bar (F2 at a desk). Scan the product, such as
NTC-TEE-NVY-M. - If it is in more than one place, Choose where it is lists them: select the one with the damage, or use its number key. If its label won't scan, scan the location or container instead and select the product's line.
- Select Mark damaged. The instruction says Scan each damaged one.
- Scan each damaged unit. The card counts them, such as "Damaged 2 of 40".
- If their labels won't scan, select Type how many and enter the number instead. It is recorded as a Keyed Quantity, with your name.
- Select Mark 2 damaged (the button names how many). The result says "Marked damaged", and how many stay as they were.
Scanning a different product is refused, and changes nothing. To back out, select Cancel.
Undo it
If you marked the wrong units, select Undo beside the result before your next scan. They are Available again where they were.
What happens next
The damaged units stay in their location or container, marked Damaged. A Warehouse Manager decides what happens to them, such as scrapping them or returning them to the client, with Change Status at a desk.
