Sign in at a Pack Station or QA Station screen, read its instruction, tiles and results, set its look and sound, leave it and sign out.
In short
Sign in on the station's screen and it opens on that station's work. Scan the code the instruction asks for, and read each result on the result line. The station's Menu has Screen settings, Leave station and Sign out.
Before you start
Anyone on your staff can work at a station. The screen must be linked to its station first: see Link a screen to its station. In the public demo, any Trentside staff member can link it to Bench 1 to Bench 3 or QA 1.

Steps
Sign in at the station
- On the station's screen, check the sign-in page shows the station's name, such as "Bench 1 · Trentside Logistics".
- Sign in with your own email and password. The screen opens on the station's work.
The station's sign-in has no Remember me, so the next person always signs in as themselves.
The menu shows only your station's kind: Pack Station on a Pack Station's screen, QA Station on a QA Station's. A screen that isn't linked shows both, to whoever may use each. There they say "This screen isn't linked to a station yet".
Read the screen

On a large screen the work is in three columns. A tablet shows two, with the client's rules behind a Client tile.
Use the number keys
While the scan field is empty, the keys 1 to 9 pick the tile or choice with that number. When you have typed something in the scan field, the keys type into it instead. To type a code from a label, type it into the scan field, then Enter.
Read the results
Every scan's result shows on the card's result line, never as a pop-up. Each kind has its own colour, shape, word and sound: Accepted, Check, Refused, Question, Already done and Information. See Results.
A refused scan says why and what to do. A station never vibrates. A Staff Badge scanned by mistake shows as [Staff Badge], never its code.
Change the screen's settings
- Select Menu, then Screen settings. The settings open under the station's header.
- Under Light or dark, choose Light, Dark or Follow this device.
- Under Sound, choose Off, Quiet, Normal or Loud. Stockist plays a sample at that volume.
- Select Done. The cursor goes back to the scan field.
The settings stay on that screen, whoever signs in. A noisy bench can be loud and a quiet one quiet. A new screen starts on Loud.
A station never vibrates, and your own Sound and Vibration from My settings don't apply there. They still apply on your handheld.
Leave the station for a moment
- Select Menu, then Leave station. The usual Stockist pages open, and the screen stays linked.
- To go back, select your avatar at the top right, then Back to Bench 1, with your station's name.
Sign out
- Select Menu, then Sign out. The screen shows the station's sign-in for the next person.
A station also signs you out by itself, and shows its sign-in, after:
- 1 hour with nothing scanned or selected, or
- 12 hours after you signed in, even if you left for the usual Stockist pages.
What happens next
The next person signs in on the same screen and lands on the same station. The screen's settings stay as they were.
