Use the Pick Board and Dispatch Board
- How-to
- Dispatch
- Who can do this: Admin, Warehouse Manager, Floor Supervisor
- Checked on 28 October 2026
Watch picking, stations and dispatch at your warehouse as they happen, take back a stalled list, answer Supervisor Calls and see why parcels are waiting.
In short
Go to Orders › Pick Board to see picking, and Orders › Dispatch Board to see dispatch, one warehouse at a time. Both refresh themselves every 15 seconds. They show what needs you: Stalled lists, Supervisor Calls, red tags, stations Not seen and parcels waiting.
Before you start
You need to be a Floor Supervisor, a Warehouse Manager or an Admin. Warehouse Operatives, office staff and clients don't see either board.
The bell tells Floor Supervisors about each Stalled list and Supervisor Call. Its Open the Pick Board takes you straight there.
The boards show the floor and change nothing by themselves. Loading, Close-Outs and Carrier No-Shows stay on Load and close out: see Load and close out a collection.
Steps
Read the Pick Board
- Go to Orders › Pick Board. If you have more than one warehouse, choose it under Warehouse.
- Under Collections today, read how far each collection's open orders have got. The columns are explained below.
- Under Pick Lists on the floor, look for any list marked Stalled. Its picker has confirmed no step for longer than the warehouse's Idle Limit, 10 minutes to start.
- To give a Parked or Stalled list's unpicked orders to another picker, select Take back, then Take them back. Orders with units already in their totes stay on the list.
- Under Floor tasks, select Answer on each Supervisor Call: see Answer a call.
- Under Red Tags, select Open order to decide what happens to a red-tagged order. Return to Stock shows how many units of each order are back on a shelf.
- Under Location Counts, confirm a count that differs from the books: see Confirm a count that differs.
| Column | The collection's open orders that are |
|---|---|
| Waiting | Not on a list yet, with their Release Point still to come |
| At Release Point | Not on a list yet, with their Release Point come |
| On lists | Released onto a Pick List, or being picked |
| Picked | Picked, in QA or being packed |
| Packed | Packed and not yet shipped |
Orders whose collection was on an earlier day share one row, Earlier collections (late).
Watch the stations
The Pick Board's Stations panel has a card for each Pack Station and QA Station at the board's warehouse. Pack Stations come first, then QA Stations, each in name order.
- On each card, read who is signed in at its screen, or Nobody signed in.
- Read what the station is on. A Pack Station shows the order whose parcels are on the bench, such as "On ORD-00000008". A QA Station shows the tote and order being checked, such as "On TOT-000034 for ORD-00000010".
- Read how long since the last action there, such as "Last action 12 min ago". Within the last minute, it says so.
- Look for a red Not seen card, and go and look at that station. The card gives the reason:
- No screen linked: see Link a screen to its station.
- Its screen hasn't reported in for 10 minutes. It may be switched off or offline, or someone left the station for the usual Stockist pages.
- A Station Printer it prints to is offline, or that printer's print computer isn't connected.
A screen showing its station's sign-in still counts as seen. While Printing is off, or once a printer has gone, the station prints in its screen's browser. Its printers then don't make it Not seen.
Read the Dispatch Board
- Go to Orders › Dispatch Board. If you have more than one warehouse, choose it under Warehouse.
- Under Collections, read how many Packed orders each collection has at each stage. Each order counts once, at the collection its parcels go on.
- Read Close-Out. It says Not yet due, Due: not closed out, or who closed the collection out and when.
- Under Held Parcels, read why each order is waiting, since when and for which collection.
- Under Missed Collections, read why each order missed and where it goes on. Take out any parcels still in the cage: see Handle Missed Collections and Carrier No-Shows.
| Column | What it counts |
|---|---|
| Packed | Orders whose labels are printing, or not every label is scanned onto its parcel yet |
| Labelled | Orders with every label on its parcel, but not every parcel in the cage |
| Loaded | Orders with every parcel Load Scanned into the cage |
| Held Parcels | Orders on Held Parcels: held, the client not dispatched, or cancelled labels |
| Waiting for label | Orders whose labels the carrier couldn't be reached for |
| Shipped | Shipments that went at the Close-Out |
| Missed | Shipments that missed the Close-Out and go on their next collection |
Look back or ahead
- On the Dispatch Board, set Collection day to Today only or A range of days. For a range, choose From and To, up to 31 days.
- To narrow it, choose a Carrier Service or a Status, such as Closed out or Carrier No-Show.
- Select Clear filters to see today and any collection still waited on again.
What happens next
Orders taken back go back to Next List, drawn first for their collection, and keep their Must-Ship-By. Units already picked stay in their totes.
Select a Pick List's number on the board to open its own page, with who picked it at each stop.
The Dispatch Board's filters are in its web address, so you can bookmark or share a filtered board. They stay as it refreshes. Neither board shows any money.
