Mark your first delivery arrived, scan it in on the Inbound Station, complete receiving and move the stock into your racking.

In short

By the end of this step, your client's first delivery is received, counted against its Purchase Order and put away. Its stock is Available in your racking.

Before you start

Use a handheld with a scanner, or a desk scanner. The dock door's location label must be up, as in Label your locations.

Checklist

  1. Mark the delivery arrived at its dock door with Mark a shipment arrived at a dock door, such as COL-GI-DOCK-01. The Inbound Station opens only once it has arrived.
  2. Scan the stock in with Receive a shipment with the Inbound Station: scan NEW-PAL, then each product, then CLOSE and the dock door's label.
  3. Complete receiving when the lorry is empty with Complete receiving. Any shortage is logged then.
  4. Move the pallet into your racking with Move a container, such as to COL-PR-A1A1. Stock stays at the dock door until it is moved.

What happens next

You're done when Inventory › Inventory Items shows the client's stock as Available in your racking, such as at COL-PR-A1A1.
