Getting-started Path
Set up Stockist step by step, from your team to your first client’s first order picked, packed and dispatched.
- Step 1 Start here Set up your 3PL, step by step Follow fifteen steps from an empty team to your first client's first order shipped, with its tracking number seen by the client.
- Step 2 Set up your team Name your team after your company, then invite your staff with the Staff Roles their jobs need, so they can help with the steps that follow.
- Step 3 Build your warehouse Add your warehouse, its zones, a location for each dock door and your racking and shelving, ready to label.
- Step 4 Label your locations Print a barcode label for every location, stick each one up and check that a scan finds the right place.
- Step 5 Set up your containers Set up a Container Type for each kind of pallet, tote or roll cage you use, so the dock can receive stock into them.
- Step 6 Add your first client Open your first client's account, complete its company details, record its contacts and agree its operating rules.
- Step 7 Add your client's products Add each product your client will send you, with its size, weight and barcodes, so the dock can scan it in.
- Step 8 Set up dispatch and bring your client live Set up your carrier, Service Level and collections, then finish your client's go-live checklist and go live, or let its first delivery in early.
- Step 9 Expect your first delivery Write and open your client's Purchase Order, then book the delivery in on an Inbound Shipment, so the dock knows what is coming.
- Step 10 Receive and put away your first delivery Mark your first delivery arrived, scan it in on the Inbound Station, complete receiving and move the stock into your racking.
- Step 11 Let your client see their stock Give your client's people their own sign-in, so they can see their stock, deliveries and products for themselves.
- Step 12 Set up your totes, pack bench and boxes Set up the totes your team fills with orders, the pack bench, the Red Tag and Held Parcels locations, and the boxes you pack in.
- Step 13 Take your client's first order Take in your client's first order, from your client or entered by you, and check it is accepted with its stock allocated.
- Step 14 Pick and pack your first order Pick your client's first order into a tote with Next List, pack it into a box at the pack bench, and stick on its carrier label.
- Step 15 Ship your first order Load your first order's parcel into the carrier's cage, close the collection out when the driver comes, and see the client's tracking number.
