Getting-started Path: step 13 of 15

Take your client's first order

  • Getting-started
  • Orders
  • Who can do this: Admin, Warehouse Manager, Account Manager
  • Checked on 28 October 2026

Take in your client's first order, from your client or entered by you, and check it is accepted with its stock allocated.

In short

By the end of this step, your client's first order is accepted and Allocated. Its stock is set aside, and it shows the collection it ships by.

Before you start

The client must be Active, with its carrier set up in step 8 and its stock received in step 10.

Decide first

  • Who enters orders. Your client's Client Users and Client Account Administrators can send their own, one at a time or in a spreadsheet. Your Account Managers can enter them too.

Checklist

  1. Have the client send the order, such as Freya sending LL-1001 for 2 candles. Send its people Send your 3PL an order and Upload orders: they speak as you, their 3PL.
  2. Or enter it yourself with Enter an order, choosing the client. For many orders, see Upload orders from a spreadsheet.
  3. Open the order under Orders. Check it is Allocated, with a Must-Ship-By, such as Ships by Wed 28 Oct, 17:30.
  4. If it is held instead, clear its hold with Why an order is held, and how to fix it. A missing product weight or Collection Timetable is yours to fix.

What happens next

You're done when the order shows as Allocated in Orders › Orders, with its Order Timeline ending "Stock allocated".
