Follow fifteen steps from an empty team to your first client's first order shipped, with its tracking number seen by the client.
In short
This getting-started path takes your team from an empty account to its first order dispatched, in fifteen steps. This page is step 1. Follow the rest in order, because each uses what the one before it made.
Before you start
You need to be an Admin. Whoever created your team is its Admin.
Each step takes one client, Lumen & Loom, through one warehouse, Colwick Distribution Centre. Use your own client and warehouse in their place.
Checklist
- Set up your team: name your team and invite your staff.
- Build your warehouse: add your warehouse, its zones and its locations.
- Label your locations: print and stick up the labels your scanners read.
- Set up your containers: set up the pallets and totes you receive into.
- Add your first client: open your client's account and record its details.
- Add your client's products: add the products the client will send you.
- Set up dispatch and bring your client live: set up your carrier and its collections, and let the client's orders and deliveries in.
- Expect your first delivery: write the purchase order and book the delivery in.
- Receive and put away your first delivery: scan it in at the dock and put it away.
- Let your client see their stock: give your client's people their own sign-in.
- Set up your totes, pack bench and boxes: set up the totes, pack bench and boxes your team dispatches with.
- Take your client's first order: take in the client's first order.
- Pick and pack your first order: pick it and pack it at the bench.
- Ship your first order: load it for the collection and close the collection out.
What happens next
You're done when you're signed in and your team's name shows at the top of the screen.
The path ends when your client's first order ships and the client sees its tracking number. For what Stockist does today and what is in development, see Stockist's features.
